Pony for sale

Marvin is a very handsome, 12-year-old, 14.1hh palomino gelding who has been a much-loved part of our family for the past 3½ years.

Now sadly out of a job, he’s looking for another young rider ready to move up a level and enjoy a safe, capable, and genuinely fun pony.

He is an experienced all-rounder and reliable pony club mount who takes everything asked of him in his stride.

His even, rhythmical way of going would make him a natural fit for the show hunter ring, though he’s equally suited to eventing and potentially make a fun hunter.

He has been produced carefully, never over-jumped, and is sensible to a fence – he doesn’t pull, rush, or race, and keeps a balanced canter that allows his rider to stay soft in the contact and confident.

Marvin is ridden in a snaffle for all three phases and is just as easy out of the arena, happily hacking out alone or with company. On the ground he is polite, straightforward, and easy to have around.

He trucks, floats, and is great for the farrier, he does though require sedation for clipping. He is happy paddocked either alone or with others.

Although very quiet and genuine, we feel Marvin would be best suited as a second pony for a competitive young rider wanting to progress through to the next grade.

He has had only two homes in the last seven and a half years, and we are committed to finding him a knowledgeable and caring new family.
