Pint Sized Performance Pony - Tarahua Shiloh

Incredibly special pony looking for a kind new home.

Shiloh is 11.1 hands all round superstar: Cat A show hunter, up to 80 cm show jumping superstar (he never ever takes rails), eventing, dressage, pony club, working hunter and round the ring - he does it all.

Shiloh is an exceptional jumper, honest as they come and absolutely loves jumping. We got him when my then tiny 9 year old had been over-horsed with a bigger unsuitable pony and she was not having much fun and when we downsized to Shiloh, it was an absolute game changer for her riding. Within 2 months of having him, she went from tiny xbars to competing at 80 cm SJ, and soon after took her round her first full 65 ODE. He has a great rhythm and is very very consistent. Shiloh was Motueka Pony club pony of the year in 2022 - he was a reliable and consistent member of all of the pony club teams. Easily qualifies for HOY in show hunter and working hunter (finished 12th nationally in the Cat A high points in 2022 with very limited outings).

Shiloh is a forward ride but he has great brakes (ridden in a snaffle in all phases). He has no dirt and is a very kind pony with a great can do attitude. He is safe on the ground for kids to handle.

No pony is perfect and Shiloh is no exception, he does have some quirks. He is not safe to ride on the roads as he does not like vehicles (quad bikes, cars, trucks etc) driving near him so would not suit a family that do a lot of road riding, he will also jump out of his paddock if you try to leave him behind (he needs a paddock mate) and when we first got him, for the first month or so, he was tricky to load on the float (this resolved very quickly once he settled in) and he has been floated multiple times a week for without issue for 2 years since then.

Shiloh needs a small rider with an established seat and gentle hands. He has been the pony of a lifetime for my daughter and I would love him to find his next little rider. He has had beginners on him occasionally whilst we have had him, and he was fine, but his ideal home is a small confident kid with the basics already established who wants to jump as this is his happy place. He is forward and is not a kickalong.

He will only be sold to the best of homes.

Price is firm and includes all his gear, including his thorowgood saddle and rugs.
