Apsley Golden Secret (Thomas)
142cm 15yr old gelding by Pendley Gold Cup, reg ESNZ, NZPBS and NZRPS.

Thomas is every child’s (and mothers!) dream.

He was with his last family in Christchurch for ten years, but both of his young riders outgrew him.

We brought him to Auckland 3 years ago and he has been the BEST PONY ever however my daughter now wants to focus on show jumping. If we didnt need the $$ for her next pony he wouldnt be going anywhere 😭

He is an absolute Jack of all trades, competing successfully in showing to HoY level, dressage to level 3, RTR, Working Hunter, and eventing.

Thomas has three correct, flowing and uphill paces and would have the ability to continue on to FEI pony level, or drop down and become a schoolmaster for a younger child, and work his way back up.

He loves his jumping (but isn’t speedy!), and happily schools at 95cm with the odd bigger fence thrown in.

- South Island YR Dressage Development Camp twice
- Champion Dressage Pony, Canterbury Champs 2021

He is super reliable and safe, and is handled always by his child riders. Excellent to take out and about, requiring very little work in for the ring.

Thomas hacks out, and is good to clip, shoe, float, truck, etc etc.

Only to the very best of homes, where he will continue to get variety in his work.

He loves the beach, forest, ring, paddock, bareback - you name it, he’ll happily do it 🤍

My daughter will have the final say on his home, please no time wasters.
