This stunning pony is back in full work and is available for viewings. BJ is a lovely versatile pony that excels best in the show ring with his riding pony and TB breeding. BJ has a real look at me presence and stands out in the ring with his beautiful colouring and markings. He has won numerous champions in A-ring classes as well as paced and mannered titles and riding pony/pony breeders sashes. His best results being champion paced and mannered A-ring pony and Champion riding pony winner at the NZ Ag show. The past few years BJ has been held back from reaching his full potential in this discipline due to the rider focusing on jumping with her other mounts. Due to this, BJ has been put on the back foot and only had limited outings including show jumping days to 1m and eventing up to 95cm, but he is most confident and reliable at 85cm eventing. We are seeking a young rider who enjoys variety, as BJ loves to do a bit of everything. While he is generally quiet, he has a few minor quirks that might surprise a less confident rider. Despite this, my mum and even non-horsey friends ride him with ease, and he’s fantastic as a lead horse for younger ponies. Only selling as I am aging out of pony classes. BJ is perfect to float, shoe, clip however, he is not a first pony. Home is our highest priority and we will not sell sight unseen.

BJ has had successful pulma annular surgery in 2022 and X-rays can be viewed on request. He has passed a flexion test, happy to discuss in more detail.
