Roany is a mother’s dream pony, he is exceptionally reliable and safe. Genuine all round schoolmaster type talented enough to be very successful in many discipline’s. Roany is suited to a competitive showjumping/eventing home or would also be a perfect pony club mount for someone wanting to learn the ropes and advance quickly in their chosen discipline. He is well schooled on the flat and has competed at level 2 dressage with success, however his talent and enjoyment lies in the jumping phases, so we definitely want him going to a home where this is his main purpose. Roany would suit any level of rider and adjusts to their ability, in saying that he will be very successful with an ambitious rider wanting to go up the heights. I think he would also excel in the show hunter ring as he has a nice clean jump and tidy general way of going.

He has previously competed to 1.10m with his past owners, he has great scope and is speedy in the jump off. He’s bold and confident when jumping and looks after his riders, isn’t phased by water whatsoever. Rides and acts the same when at home and at shows, very low maintenance to take out and about. He has taken his current rider from a nervous low level jumper to competing 80cm happily with success. Although due to rider injury and no fault of his own they have only been competing in dressage recently. Hence the sale as Roany is too talented to just do flatwork, plus rider has also outgrown him and has moved onto a hack. This is a very sad sale and he will only be sold to the very best of homes!

Roany is extremely easy and polite to handle on the ground. Perfect to float, truck, shoe, stable, wash, clip, feed, rug, plait etc. Very safe and beginner proof when handling.

Includes all gear; hinterland bridle and breastplate, kentucky stud girth, all rugs, etc. Pessoa jump saddle that was bought brand new and fitted to him is also available to purchase separately.
