Elderberry is a mother’s dream pony, she is exceptionally reliable and safe. Genuine all round type who has competed with success across many disciplines including, champion saddle hunter, reserve champion show hunter and numerous placings on the ESNZ national showjumping circuit.

Elderberry comes from one of the most successful pony jumping lines in Australasia and has been carefully produced by her breeder and current rider. She is well schooled on the flat, however her talent and enjoyment lies in the jumping phases. Elderberry has so far competed to 1m showjumping and showhunter and is schooling 1.10–1.20m at home with ease. She has a super technique and I could easily see her jumping Mini Prix with the right rider.

She has evented to 65cm and trained to 90cm (eventing is not our passion which is why she hasn’t competed higher), however she is extremely brave and confident, looks after her rider and isn’t phased by fillers /water jumps etc.

Elderberry can be strong at times so needs a confident and capable rider to manage this but there is zero dirt. She just loves her job!

Easy to hack out alone or in company. Loves swimming at the river. Elderberry is extremely easy and polite to handle on the ground. Perfect to float, truck, shoe, stable, wash, clip, feed, rug, plait etc. Very safe when handling.

She would suit an ambitious rider wanting a multi talented pony to have fun on.

Located in stunning Central Otago - 1 hr from Queenstown airport with excellent facilities to view.

For sale as rider is sadly outgrowing ponies and will be moving onto hacks. This is a very sad sale and she will only be sold to the very best of homes. References a must
