A Rider Who Loves To Educate

17-Apr-2016

Moving to NZ from the UK was a hard decision, especially with Eventing as your main focus.
You see all the top NZ riders doing just the opposite but I had plans, goals and now the perfect country and opportunity to do them all in.

1994 was where it all started, I use to work for the legendary Ginny Elliot (nee Leng/Holgate) and Eventing was such a huge part of my life, she taught me the foundations of producing young horses for top level Eventing and no corners were cut or problems swept under the carpet, my job was simply to give each horse the best opportunity to succeed. For two years under Ginny's watchful eye I did just this and my passion for producing was ignited. Unfortunately Ginny had a accident that made her change career paths and left me with a passion I couldn't push to one side. So when a opportunity to move to NZ came up, I thought to myself, this is a country I can do it in and the NZ thoughbreds are the horses that are plentful. So in 1996 I packed all my belongings and set off to the otherside of the world.

Now residing in the centre of the North Island (Taupo), I quietly produce Eventers, also help out the not so fortunate individuals who too have a passion to succeed but not always the support or education to help them.
