Wilson is a kind and versatile gelding ready for his next rider. Bred for dressage and successfully competed up to Level 2, his true passion is jumping.

He has been confidently schooled at home to 1.20m, competed to 1.15m show jumping, and twice qualified for Horse of the Year in Show Hunter.

Straightforward, rideable, and adjustable, he is competitive against the clock. At a recent local show jumping competition he was an absolute gem, proving how reliable and uncomplicated he is in a busy environment.

Wilson has the X-Factor. He combines beautiful, elastic movement with a scopey jump and a genuine love for his job. He takes you to the fence with confidence and really lifts his game as the jumps go up.

While we have not jumped him higher than 1.20m, we believe that with further training he has the ability to step up to 1.30m — he certainly has the pop and athleticism to get there.

Beyond the arena, Wilson has been extensively hacked through forest and at the beach. He is safe to take out, kind with other horses, and happy to go in front or behind.

He has also been XC training at Ohaupo Equestrian Centre — and loved it! Wilson enjoys life and sometimes shows a little sparkle, but never in a dirty way.

He thrives on variety, which really lets him blossom, and his versatility and scope also make him a strong candidate for eventing.

Wilson has been in full professional training for the past 4 months and is in excellent form for his new rider.

He is a pleasure to handle in every way — easy with vet, farrier, clipping, and he travels perfectly in both float and truck (walks straight on).

A genuinely talented, uncomplicated, and loveable horse with a super character.
