Hazel is an expectational young mare, displaying considerable aptitude and willingness to work. Hazel has had the best of starts, with regular sessions at “big girl school”, Hazel is confident being long reined, lunging, trotting over poles and being walked down country roads and good being led from another horse. She is good for the farrier, is being taught to self-load and has a sensible can-do attitude.

With all the basics installed, Hazel is ready to start her ridden career and requires an experienced rider that can help realise her full potential and take her to the next level. Hazel has the potential to succeed in the show ring but is also a very versatile type.
Hazel at her first two shows as a 2-year won: Courtenay A & P Show 2022 – Champion Youngstock South Island Premier Championship Show: Champion Led Hack and Hunter 2022.
Hazel is currently at "big girl school" and thrives on work and enjoys it immensely. She will be competing at an in-hand show in January. Videos available on request.

Update: Hazel attended a local in-hand show on Sunday (13th Jan 25). She displayed excellent manners throughout the day and performed impeccably in the ring.
This was her first show since a two year and placed in all her classes. Not fazed by a busy show atmosphere in the slightest and tied up to the side of the float with no issues

Hazel is home for a few weeks before heading off to start her ridden career, photos to follow.
