Golden Odyssey (Venus) is a 9 year old Arab x Stationbred mare, currently registered with the NZ Arabian Society and Golden Horse Society. She was started early 2022 after spending her first few years in hand showing and having a foal and has been brought on slowly since then.

Venus is very gentle on the ground, great to catch, shoe, drench and self loads and unloads off float. She gets along well in herds and is always bottom of the pecking order.

Venus has been out to gymkhanas, showjumping and show hunter where she always gets correct striding and always comes home with a ribbon. She is currently schooling 70-80cm but could happily step up once she is a bit fitter. She has also been out to cross country days and forestry and farm riding and always gets comments on her lovely paces when she is out and about.

While she has a soft mouth and is responsive to aids, Venus is not suitable for a nervous or inexperienced home as she is still learning the ropes and gains confidence from her rider.


She comes with her Premier Equine bridle and rugs. Her professionally fitted NSC jump saddle is available for purchase at extra cost.
