14 years old 16.1hh light Palomino Stationbred Mare

It has come to the time to sell my best friend. Zephyr has competed in showjumping for the time I’ve owned her, which has been 1 and a half years. She has competed up to 90 cm with wins and placings, and schooled up to 1m. She recently won the 80 cm at Woodhill for a fast jump off 6 seconds ahead of everyone else.

Showjumping has been my main focus, however we have started trying eventing. She has schooled cross country up to 80 cm with scope for more, and has established leg yield in dressage. She was schooling 1m showjumping but she is more confident at 80/90 at the moment.

We recently made the move to pony club to be closer to home, and she loves it. She loves a busy atmosphere and loves her pony club rallies. She is great in a big group and loves hacking out, playing in the water jump (including jumping in and out), going to the beach, and putting up with most things I throw at her. She is great for the dentist, farrier, to catch, clip etc. She is the most loving horse and is always the first to greet you at the gate, and is always keen for a cuddle!

She would suit a confident, calm rider. She is never dirty but would perform best for an experienced rider. She is always honest and tries her best for whatever you want her to do.

Our experience is that she is best paddocked in a bigger herd or by herself, as she can get attached to other horses. She has never been lame in the time I’ve had her and has never needed the vet.

Sad sale but I am ready for my next horse to take me to the next level.
