Ernie is a super cool horse who gives his best at all times. Sane and sensible, level headed and keeps his cool. He is not dirty, hot or too strong, can be ridden by anyone. He is well balanced in his flatwork and maintains a good even rhythm in his jumping. He is good to ride on his own, or in company. No vices, great with farrier, easy to catch, perfect ground manners and happy travelling on trucks. Can to be paddocked alone or in company. Super in traffic. Has been hacked extensively and is super easy to take out to events. Great in tight warm ups and happy jumping indoors. Small amount of cross country done due to current rider focus being on show jumping but recently used to complete and pass A certificate in Pony Club – 110 show jumping, 110 cross country and Level 2 Dressage need to be achieved at a high level to pass this exam. He was 4th in his first Junior rider last year, rider then ruptured a disc in her back which put a stop to the season at that height. Would make an excellent Junior rider horse or amateur mount. Ernie has been taken hunting where he was foot perfect, absolutely loved every minute and many comments made on his excellent behaviour and safe jumping and sane attitude while out. Was hunted by previous owner in the South Island and would make a great Masters horse. Can’t say enough about this perfect gentleman and is a much regrettable sale and only being sold due to rider landing a dream job in the UK and not planning on returning home within the next few years and I possibly don’t need something this talented for me to just hack around on as that is all I can now do due to a knee injury.
