Clary has been with us for the past year and has proven to be quite the show-stopper.

He came to us with some ‘issues’ that I think it would be fair to say were a result of being started a bit later in life and not quite having the mileage under his belt as his previous owner had believed on purchase. Since being with us and getting the life exposures he had previously lacked he has moved past these and has proven him self to be a right little super star. Clary is very well schooled on the flat and arrived with some brilliant buttons installed by Ben Weir. He is a very genuine jumper, consistent in pace and style over the fence.

Clary has hunted 1 full season with Egmont Wanganui. He took to this job like fish to water as do most MJK horse- he was used to whip in (although not a huge fan of the whip swinging), as the huntsman’s horse not to mention as the child tamer horse leading a 11hh pony. He has mileage at both the front/middle and back of the field. Clary not only gained some silverware by winning most of the Hunter Trials classes he also won the coveted trophy for First Year Hunter at the end of the ’23 season.

Clary has show jumped to 1m and is proving to be a very handy round the ring mount placing at all his outings. He would also be suited to show hunter.

Clary is not a plod and can have the typical clyde x awareness of his surroundings. He will not suit a returning rider mount nor part time pleasure hack. He is suited to a confident/competent rider and we will be very very picky as to who is sold to and will be wanting a knowledgeable hunting home for him.

Great to clip/shoe/truck/float (both angle and straight loader). Well exposed to kids/dogs/chickens/farm machinery

He will not be sold sight unseen.

He is fit and ready to roll. He will be jumping on the truck for what’s left of the show/ sports day season for us.
