Rocky (Rockquest) is a 16hh Warmblood x Thoroughbred by Flowervale Meteor / One Pound Sterling. He has been a beloved teacher and friend for over 3 years, but with his rider going to university this year, it has come time to find him a new best friend.

He is an experienced eventer with wins and placings at 1,2 and 3* level throughout his career. Some of his most recent results with us include:

Winner of 1* class and Tait trophy at northland one day champs 2023
Winner of 105 at Matamata horse trials 2022
2nd place 1* Taupo horse trials 2023
5th place 1* brookby horse trials 2023

His dressage has always been a strong suit with consistent scores >70%, and is almost always leading the class or in the top 3 after dressage. His presence, paces and calmness in the ring make straight dressage an option. He has competed up to level 6 with previous owner, and level 4 with us. If time permitted we would have explored this avenue further, as he consistently trains movements up to and beyond prix St George level at home.

He is a XC/jumping machine, always incredibly honest and forgiving and loves his job dearly. Has competed 1.30m+ with previous owner.

He is very obedient to ride, especially on the flat. Can get strong on xc but the more he begins to trust you as a rider, the more he will relax.

Good to shoe, clip, worm, etc, however only quirk is that he cannot travel alone so needs another horse in the float/truck with him.

Although 15 he has never had any soundness issues and requires little/no management in this aspect. Any vet inspection welcome
