Such a dude, this 16hh 6y/o TB gelding by Power is a happy horse and just loves to please. Simply hacked around and schooled on the flat all of 2022, this year he was put over his first show jumps in April, his first training day at McLeans Island was in August. Started at 60cm which he trotted around carefully and calmly, he’s now jumping clear at 90cm and he’s popping over them with ease. His first time in the show ring was at Rangiora A&P Show at Labour Weekend, where he won Reserve Champion Novice Hack and certainly caught the judge’s eye in the Paced class.
Schools nicely, works well off the leg, always willing to learn. No vices, he’s easy to catch, cover, float, saddle up.
His perfect owner would be someone who’s keen to give eventing or show jumping a go, with enough time in their day and week to give this sweet guy the work and attention he deserves.
Having raced in the past, he’s not a rip shit n’ bust horse, but Po Parrott loves his work, will always come up to you in the paddock and say hello, and would thoroughly enjoy a home where his rider gets as much fun and pleasure from the sport as he does. His future has so much to offer.
Current rider’s plate is too full due to having another horse and too many other commitments. Very sad to be saying goodbye.
