PROGENY OF NZ STALLION EXCELS IN AUSTRALIA

iSpyHorses --  Mon, 11-Nov-2019

During the weekend, Pryde's Easifeed Australian Jumping Championships Show took place at Boneo Park, Victoria. Seventeen year old, Sally Simmonds and her mount Chio MS, were one of the combinations competing.  The two have only recently paired together, but looked as though they have been a team for much longer, as they flew around the tough course to place second in the competitive Horseland Australian Junior Championship Final.  The stunning grey, rising seven-year old gelding was bred and produced by Matawhio Sporthorses and he is sired by the outstanding oldenberg stallion, Chacco Silver.

Matawhio Sporthorses are successful New Zealand breeders and producers of performance jumping horses.  Chacco Silver, Matawhio's prized stallion at stud, is the only son in New Zealand sired by Chacco Blue recognised as the No 1 Jumping Stallion in the World Breeding Stallion rankings and for the third year in a row.

Chacco Silver’s progeny all show the same desirable traits as their famous sire.  They are exceptionally trainable, elegant, talented and have fantastic natures.  We spoke to Mary-Beth from Matawhio Sporthorses, who currently has Chico MS’s three half siblings for sale through iSpyHorses.  “Chio MS is very typical of Chacco Silver progeny. He is similar to his half siblings currently for sale, all sired by Chacco Silver. He is particularly similar to Cody MS who we consider to be a definite international prospect, he's utterly phenomenal,” Mary-Beth told us.  “Chilly MS and Chester MS are full brother and sister, they are the last two foals out of Capriole, she jumped very successfully at Young Rider, Grand Prix and World Cup level.”

At almost seven years old, Chio MS is Chacco Silver’s oldest progeny.  He is already proving to be an extremely competitive, top quality showjumper.  If this is what he can achieve in the beginning of his competitive career, there is no doubt that Chacco Silver’s progeny will all achieve great things. Recently at the North Island Showjumping Championship show Charlize MS placed 6th in the 6 year old Emerging Stars class and Chacco Gold MS placed 3rd in the 7 year old title class, two of Chacco Silver's other older progeny. Chacco Silver's offspring are serious horses for the future with the pedigree and ability to compete at top level and which you don’t want to miss out on.
