Ataahua Masterpiece, affectionately known as Patch, is a talented and genuine all-rounder with an impressive competition record across multiple disciplines.
Our focus with Patch has primarily been dressage, where he has achieved outstanding results, including:

*Bates NZ Nationals Pony Preliminary Reserve Champion 2026
*Waitemata Pony Preliminary Dressage Series Champion 2026
* Woodhill Sands Preliminary Pony Winter Series Champion 2025
*Coatesville Winter Dressage Series Preliminary Champion 2025

Prior to joining us, Patch was a highly successful eventer up to 80cm and has accumulated numerous wins and placings in show jumping and show hunter. His versatility, experience, and willingness make him a fantastic opportunity for a rider wanting to excel across multiple disciplines.
Patch would be best suited as a second pony, like he was for our daughter or for a rider looking to continue progressing up the levels. He absolutely loves to jump! And he takes his rider to the fence and will happily pick up the pace if required in a jump off. As the jumps get bigger, he is a forward ride and he really knows his job and therefore requires a confident rider. With us he has been to Pony club rallies, ribbon days and competed at Pony Club Dressage Champs, selected for Dressage squad development camp and also Interclub Dressage where their team Placed 1st.

What truly sets Patch apart is his wonderful temperament. He is an absolute pleasure to have around and is easy in every way:

He loves the beach and will take his rider for a swim. Great to hack anywhere, with or with out company. Happy in a herd or on his own. No vices and such a lovely nature.

This is a very difficult sale, as his rider is stepping away from riding to focus on other sports and Patch deserves to continue doing what he loves with his next rider.
