Time has come for my daughter to move onto hacks so we are selling our full size pony
.
Carter is the ultimate all rounder. Carter was a dressage and show pony when we got him at age 6. Since then with us he has show jumped, evented, attended pony club and hacked extensively.

The best bits:
- carter is a beautiful, athletic pony with 3 beautiful paces.
- dream to handle and is the perfect pony to take away to events.
- self loads.
- lives with 3 other horses and never shown any signs of attachment issues.
- recently stepped up to 95cm eventing placing 6th at recent Ryal Bush ODE in Dec 2025
- XC machine and has schooled over 105 with ease
- Competed at Springston Trophy 2023 in Cromwell 80cm
- show jumping at 90cm/1m with placings and schooling at 110cm
- March 25 my daughter decided to have a go at A&P showing her and carter came away with champion novice A ring pony and reserve champion A ring pony.
- very handy at games and almost always first in the bending race

Other things you need to know:
- forward pony not suitable for nervous riders
- quite fined boned so not suitable for a heavy or unbalanced riders
- Out on treks in groups he doesnt like to be left behind so we do not think he would be suitable for hunting
- Carter has no stop and doesnt look and fill or XC obstacles however he will drop rails in show jumping if not riden correctly.

Carter has a very cool but quirky personality, while not overly affectionate he loves to be in the middle of everything. He has a very tolerant nature, my daughter frequently jumps on him bareback in the paddock. Carter has had limited outings due to other sport commitments. We believe Carter is best suited to a rider who wants to get out and about and stepping up the heights. Equally he could return to showing and dressage however as this has not been his riders focus he would need a bit more schooling to be a serious competitor.

Carter will not be sold sight unseen nor is he available for lease. Serious buyers are welcome to come and ride him as many times as you like. Carter will be at Otago show jumping later in January and can be viewed there by prior arrangement.

Carter will come with bridles, covers, jumping/XC boots, and his show jumping saddle is available for extra.
