Pony for sale

Alfie is a brave, honest, and sensible pony with a very bright future. He is an absolute pleasure and is a part of our family. His groundwork and breaking in was done by a professional trainer then he came to our beginner rider who had never been off the lead rein or cantered. He has taken my daughter from first ridden all the way through to ODE and training at 95cm. In the right home he will be extremely competitive in the discipline of your child’s choice. Unfortunately, my daughter has had two big growth spurts so the sad decision to sell him has had to be made due to her size now impeding his ability, despite him being of chunkier size and strong. We would love to find him his next home where we can continue to follow his progress as he is a very much-loved member of our family. He is a dream to catch, show, clip, wash and all the other things you would expect to do. He freeloads onto a straight loader / angle loader. Unfazed by almost everything, he will ride alongside cows in the horse float or horses he really doesn't care. You ask him and he will please. He is not treat driven but does love the occasional treat. Will happily bareback swim, jump and gallop all in a halter and rope. Not fazed about balls being kicked about, pigeons being shot or bird scares. Loves cattle work, running dogs or any other extracurricular activity, you give him. Loves games! Some recent results include 3rd in South Island Pleasure Pony, 2x first at Methven 70cm SJ, Completing John Jones Steel 2DE. 4th Overall from Waimate interschools competition and the team got placed 2nd, Demo and Dabble overall style winner. Alfie is great to paddock by himself or with others, hack out by himself or with others. Safe on the roads with Cars, Tankers, Tractors and motorbikes. He lived at my daughter's boarding school last year, where he was well loved by all the kids as he is easy to care for. He will happily involve himself in anything you ask him to. He can go a couple weeks without work with no problems being brought back in. He is still pretty young as was broken in late and Maria has been his only child rider but the way he has progressed and his relativity calm sensible nature we are excited to see what's next for him. He has had his teeth, sheath and annual bodywork done with reports available. We wanted to set him up for success for his next home. Comes complete with all his wardrobe which has purposely been brought for him including, saddle, bridles, girths, boots, covers etc. He is currently shod, and we stud him at 70cm and above.
