Gracie is one of the most genuine mares you will come across!
Her sweet temperament and willingness to learn and work makes her an easy favorite amongst the team.

Gracie has been a big part of the family for a number of years, and although a heartbreaking sale, she has so much to offer a young rider and the potential to be a fantastic competitive all-rounder.

Professionally broken in, she had a quiet start to her ridden career focusing on hacking out and seeing the world. She came back into work and had roughly 3 weeks of professional schooling with TJ’s Equestrian, and was then in and out of work for a couple of years.

April 2024, Gracie was ridden by a young rider who did a phenomenal job kickstarting her competitive career and has given her lots of variation and experience.

She attended Nga Tawa in 2024, handling the busy yard and atmosphere superbly.
Over the past year she has attended Pony Club, countless shows, hunted, been the beach, and hacked extensively.

Competitively, she turns heads wherever she goes bringing home multiple ribbons and complements. She has won Dressage tests, won 7 wide’s out of 9 flat shows and has shown a lovely technique SJ and SH. She attended PC champ’s week, taking in the busy atmosphere like a champ! Travels great to shows and settles instantly.

Gracie goes beautifully on the flat with a kindness shown through all her work and a willingness to please. With 3 beautiful paces, she is responsive off the leg showing off her impressive movement but is just as happy cruising on the buckle and is beginning basic lateral work.

She loves to jump and has a lovely natural rhythm, we can really see her excelling in the SH ring. She has competed up to 80cm SJ, schooling at home up to 80-90cm. She has schooled over XC up to 95cm and LOVES it, being unfazed by ditches, banks, and water.

Gracie has so much to offer her next rider and has the potential to be a very competitive pony in the future!

Like a lot of Gizzy’s she can be wary of new people, but once you’re her person she would do anything for you. She is great to travel, clip, shoe, trim, will tolerate worming and is incredibly safe on the ground.
She is still a young horse so we would only want her to go to a competent rider where she can be produced to her full potential.

We are very happy to keep her for another season, so home is the most important!
