Bellvidere is a Donnerubin x TB, 16.2 hh, 12 year old brown mare based in Hawkes bay.

Bella has taken her rider from never competing before at age 15 to competing at level 4 in less than 2 years.

Bella has a commitment to working hard, is fantastic under saddle with a sharp mind and a competitive edge, but she’s quirky on the ground, therefore not suited to just anyone. She has beautiful movement and a work ethic that could easily send her further up the grades with a committed rider. Bella has also been known to enjoy a canter around a big paddock and took well to popping over small jumps.

She travels well in a float, remains happy in a competition environment, and is very independent when out. She will absolutely give you her heart, but you’d never describe her as smoochy or snuggly. Respects tape, gets along well with other horses. Good for vet and farrier, up to date with life admin (dental etc).

She has been extensively vetted for physical reasons behind her temperament, and we give her Ready Serve which is helpful, but the final diagnosis is that she’s just a bit of a bitch.

With only one previous owner her history is well documented.

For the rider who wants to work, ride, and be competitive, Bella is incredible.

Much adored, we are only selling as her rider is heading to uni and year 13 studies have taken over her life. Bella is currently in light work, but ready to pick up the pace for the upcoming season.
