This is an incredibly difficult post to write, but I am tentatively putting the feelers out for my very special boy, Bart.
Bart is an experienced and genuine show jumper who has successfully jumped and placed up to Young Rider level. Over the last four years, he has been my partner in the ring and has given me some of my most memorable achievements. He took me from competing around 1.05m tracks to winning my very first Junior Rider class, teaching me countless lessons and helping me grow as a rider along the way.
Bart is a true schoolmaster who knows his job inside and out. He absolutely loves jumping and thrives when he has a job to do. He is honest, experienced, and has all the buttons, making him an ideal horse for a confident and capable young rider wanting to learn from a horse that has been there and done that.
One of Bart’s most special qualities is his consistency. Throughout our time together, he has never come home from a show without a ribbon. He always goes into the ring wanting to do his best and has been an incredibly reliable and rewarding partner to compete.
While he is wonderfully educated, Bart is not a kick-along type. He enjoys his work, loves to get on with the job, and would best suit a confident kid who enjoys a horse with a bit of speed, personality, and spice.
Bart is also a pleasure to have around. He is good to shoe, travel, drench, for the dentist and is happy alone and in a group. He is a much-loved member of the family and has been a huge part of my life for the last four years.
Having competed successfully through to Young Rider level, Bart would now be best suited to a rider wanting to gain experience and confidence in the lower heights, particularly up to around 1.15m-1.20m. He has a wealth of knowledge to offer and would love helping another rider develop and achieve their goals, just as he did for me.
This decision has not come easily, and finding the right home is far more important than making a quick sale. Bart owes me absolutely nothing, and he deserves a home where he will be loved, appreciated, and continue doing what he enjoys most.
The perfect home for Bart is non-negotiable, as he truly is one in a million.
Please send me a message if you think you could be the right match for this very special horse. Serious enquiries only.
