Rusty is a 9-year-old, 16.1hh chestnut gelding by Dial a Prayer (NZ) out of Monte Makemyday (AUS).

He has competed successfully in eventing with wins and placings at 80cm and 95cm, proving himself to be a bold, honest jumper that gives his rider a great feel into a fence.

On the flat, Rusty is well established with lateral work including leg yield and flying changes, and continues to develop nicely.

Rusty suits a range of riders and is happily ridden in a snaffle across all phases. He is a kind, genuine horse who is safe and straightforward, making him a great option for a young rider wanting to get out and enjoy their riding.

With his lovely movement, consistent rhythm, trainable nature and quiet temperament, he would also make an ideal show hunter.

He has attended Pony Club, is great to hack alone or in company, and enjoys getting out to the beach and on trails. A pleasure to have around — easy to handle, shoe, and take out and about. Travels well and is good to truck and float.

Rusty is offered for sale on behalf, through no fault of his own. His current rider has been advised to restrict physical activity due to a long-term injury unrelated to him. He is far too nice a horse to be left in the paddock for months. Having previously been part of my team, this is a genuinely sad sale.
