Suitable for an established young rider coming off ponies / hack for a young rider wanting to develop their ride and or competitive adult.
Meet Kanube a talented fun horse with a eventing /SJ foundation that has him ready to step up into the higher levels ( if needed) and shine. He’s still early in his competition career having a late start (8 year old) to competition life (through no fault of his own). I purchased him at 4 years and started him at 5. With good miles on trails he has had plenty of experiences in his formative years in numerous environments from forest, river, beach and working with cattle. He had plenty of time to grow well and mature to the striking horse he is. He is only in his second year of competition, as his rider took a step back from competing for a couple of years. His development has been taken steadily to set him up for a bright future.

He is a forward, soft ride, with a snaffle mouth in all disciplines. He appreciates a kind capable rider who enjoys a responsive ride. With all his basics well established it would be great to see him taken up the grades as an Eventer. The hard work has been done, he is for sale only as his rider is heading away for 2 years overseas.

This season he stepped up to showjumping to 1.05 starts having had consistent wins and placings to 1m. Schooling happily 1.10m at home with a very scopey jump with much more to give. He has an adjustable ride depending on the type of course, taking the rider to the jump. He is nimble and quick if needed.

He has been given a solid foundation eventing and is well established at 80cm with consistent placings in all his starts. He stepped up to 95cm recently at Clevedon 2DE and took home the win answering all the questions on a very challenging X/C course. He loves XC, currently schooling up to 1.05 he is brave, bold lock onto his jump type.

He has a lovely movement and way of going in his dressage with complimentary remarks. He will be able to develop upper level moves if his rider wants for this.

Most importantly he is an easy horse to have around, very relaxed on the ground, a real teddy bear, and uncomplicated to have out in competition environments. Good to hack out alone or in company he spends a lot of his time up in the forest adjacent to us and swimming in the river. He thrives with a varied life. He has worked cattle for some fun and has proven to be great at it. He has a great brain for learning and likes to use it. Good to float or truck, can be paddocked alone and with others. Is good to shoe and clip. He has got really good feet and can go barefoot if needed. He has been sound throughout his time with us without any medical needs.
