She was backed a year ago and has been lightly and correctly produced since, focusing on building strength, balance and confidence. She is more “whoa” than “go” without being lazy, and is an uncomplicated, forgiving ride for her age.

She has been given a slow and varied start, hacking alone and in company, and is happy to work on a long rein. Cleo has a lovely work ethic and thrives on having a job. She has been ridden by young riders and handled the change seamlessly, highlighting her sensible and adaptable nature.

Cleo shows plenty of natural ability over fences. She has popped small courses at home with pony riders and has confidently jumped walls, water and a variety of fills, taking everything in her stride including her first outing off the property where she handled new questions first go.

She is straightforward to manage in every way, easy to catch, cover, worm, hose, truck and handle. A pleasure to have around the yard and loves attention.

Cleo is sensible and willing, with no dirt. There is huge value in her nature, for those who prefer want gelding attitudes but want the value of her ability to breed superb foals in the future. She is suited to both an amateur wanting a genuine youngster to bring on, or a more competitive rider wanting a horse to bring through the grades.

Cleo is has low mileage due to rider time constraints and is ready to continue her education with a competent rider. While she is unlikely to be a pure dressage or showing type due to not moving straight in front, she has all the qualities to make a genuine and enjoyable partner.
