“Final Impression" (Oscar). Oscar is a 13 years old Black 16.3 hh crossbred gelding . He has been with us for 5 years whom we purchased from his breeder who did all his foundation work and then hunted him with very successfully with South Canterbury Hunt. Oscar has been ridden and competed by both my husband and teenage daughter across all disciplines. He is about the most uncomplicated XC ride you can get. Neither hot or slow, willing and bold and SAFE. Good to handle, perfect to take to competitions, stays by the truck with or without company, warms up calmly and also in the ring is a gentlemen. Whilst he is fairly straightforward he is a big horse with a big jump and requires a capable rider to get the most out of him.

His experience Includes:
Full Wire Hunter - happy at the back or front (also accompanied daughter with her pony at a children’s hunt and was perfect
Level 3 Dressage (schooling Level 4) he is very well schooled and responsive
Show jumped to 115cm, happiest at 110cm below
Eventing to 105 cm (also done Springston Trophy as Junior with daughter)

Oscar is a very much loved member of our family and we are devastated to have to look at a new home for him but due to Husband concentrating on show jumping with younger horse, Oscar deserves to be someones number one - as he has always been with us. He has the personality of a Labrador, loves attention, cuddles and food. He has an uncomplicated brain, sweet natured, totally honest to jump (point, leg on and he will jump),he just wants to please and is a willing partner to do absolutly anything. He has only had the best care and attention. There is a reason why he has had only 2 homes in his life, this horse is one in a million and we are looking for that special next family for him to treat him like the King he is. Located Canterbury. Trucking home required as whilst he does float he prefers the head space in a truck.
