Just turned 15 years old, though didn’t start jumping until he was 7yrs so has younger legs.

Jack’s always been forgiving, honest and safe to ride so he’d make a pretty fun and reliable Junior/Young Rider horse. He’s a horse that doesn’t get frazzled by a bad distance/ride, and has given me so much confidence over the years for this reason. I would love to see Jack out with an up and coming rider, bringing them up through the grades like he has done for me.

The last couple of seasons we’ve had a few Horse Grand Prix starts, and have been consistent at the 1.30-1.40m level for a few years now. He’s got a good list of results from
1.20m-1.45m, including Grand Prix classes. He also won the ESNZ National Tertiary Series in 2021 with 5x series class wins. Most recently he placed 4th in the 1.35m Championship at Horse of the Year 2025.

He is very adjustable and has good flatwork with 3 lovely paces and established flying changes, walk to canter and leg yield. Snaffle mouth, never had soundness issues, and is easy to keep. No buck/rear/nap. He travels well in a truck or float. Doesn’t get attached to other horses. Good for shoeing, dentist, etc.

We’ve owned him since he was 7yrs and first started jumping, so know that he hasn’t been over jumped or over faced in his career.
He doesn’t get fresh with time off. Even after his 3month winter break I can canter him around on a long rein. He’s safe enough that I have put beginner riders on him with no issues.

Extremely difficult decision and a hard horse to part with as he’s always been so reliable and so much fun.
