Neverland (Max) - 16.2hh, 10yo, true black gelding by Savabeel out of Saddlers Home.

Max has had extensive sporthorse schooling and competition experience, and would be a super, upper-level eventer prospect. He has a big jump with lots of scope, and his dressage is well-established. I wouldn’t rule him out as a straight dressage mount if that’s what you’d like to pursue; he has all the buttons and is a lovely ride.

Max has previously competed to 1.20m SJing, 95cm Eventing and is schooling Level 4 Dressage. He’s had a quiet year due to no fault of his own so would need to start off at the lower levels with his new owner, but this is a seriously talented sporthorse prospect for a capable rider.

Max is great to shoe, clip, handle, worm and truck. He does need to ideally be in a truck-only home as due to a previous floating accident he isn’t great to float. He doesn’t have a huge amount of hacking experience, so can be tense in a group and nappy when on his own. We’ve found him to be fairly alert in a new area while with us, but no issues that phased us or would a competent rider.

Max did a season of 95cm eventing with his current owner and does require more XC mileage. He’s a sensitive lad, and needs a soft, kind rider, but he has a huge heart with a lot to give the person he clicks with. He’s beautifully schooled and super responsive; we’ve found he can tend to be a bit on the lazier side with flatwork but all the buttons are there. He’s a lot of fun to jump; forward and loves it, but very responsive to your seat and hands.

If you’re looking for your next upper-level eventer, show jumper or even straight dressage mount then flick the page a message. This lad will be one to look out for!
