Malyce is a very special gentleman who is super safe and has lots of potential to progress up the levels.

Mal is from Twin Pines Racing Stud and trialled but was too slow to race. At his first home he was doing lots of trail riding and a small amount of jumping. His second home was an eventing one in Helensville where he had professional dressage training for over a year. He competed up two level 2 dressage at Woodhill and he came home with placings.

I’ve had Mal since April 2018 and we’ve had a lot of fun practicing more dressage doing level 3 movements, hacking on beaches and doing some liberty work in the paddock. He has 3 lovely, adjustable paces, a rocking horse canter and walk as well as a halt that will bring 10’s in your tests! He does a lovely leg yield at walk and trot, he has an expressive and rhythmical medium trot and collects well in the canter. He is a very fast learner and will progress further up the levels. We have been under the guidance of Jo Crawford (Grand Prix Dressage Rider/Coach) and she really loves his temperament, paces and she says he is a lovely ride.

He’s got excellent manners and is very respectful of riders on the ground. He loves being brushed, cuddled and given massages! He’s been clipped before and I trim his bridle path with small clippers. He’s excellent for the Farrier and always willing to be caught in the paddock. He’s very willing for the dentist as well as when being wormed and he can truck as well as float but does prefer an angle loader.

Were looking for a loving and knowledgable home for this very safe and loving horse where he can have lots of fun trekking and progressing up the levels in dressage. He’s suitable for a teenager’s 2nd horse or would also suit an adult returning to riding.

This is a very regretful sale as I would definitely be keeping him if I wasn’t heading overseas to study.
