Xanthos is an elegant European Warmblood with outstanding ability. His sire, Cassini D'Eclipse, produced world champion showjumpers and several top NZ riders now have Cassini D'Eclipse progeny in their stables.

Xanthos is a gentleman to handle in every way. He shows athletic ability with beautiful cadence and big elevation (massive uphill movement).

He’s progressing well in dressage (up to level 1). Due to his age, he has not been heavily ridden or jumped, however, he effortlessly clears 1.2m at home and had his first competition May 25th, jumping 80cm (clean round). He is a high-level jumping prospect.

Xanthos has been professionally backed and consistently schooled by Amanda Harrison. Ridden in photos by Michelle Bogaard, 5’10. He has a snaffle mouth, clean legs with no vices.

He has been liberty trained, lunging on his own and also parks up to get on. He also has had clicker training and responds well to positive reinforcement so has no been pushed passed his ability. He has been schooled on an arena and working over the farm hacking out with others on big treks. He is barefoot shod and has super strong hooves so has not yet been shod. Over the past year he has been brought in for small amounts of work at a time and is bulking gup to be a lovely big strong horse in a relaxed environment.

Xanthos has a stellar career ahead of him. He is ready for an experienced and competitive rider to continue his training as an exceptional sport horse in any discipline.
